Hebei University

You can apply for the visa in your local Chinese embassy or consulate. The following materials are needed:

1.Passport.

2.Admission letter of Hebei University (original).

3.Visa application form (Form JW201/202)

Do make sure to get your admission letter, Form JW201/202 and passport back after obtaining your Chinese visa. You will need these documents to apply for your Residence Permit after your arrival in Baoding.

International Students who will be studying in China are required to obtain a Student Visa. (‘X1’ Visa)

Important: The Student Visa (‘X1’ Visa) will only be valid for 30 days after your arrival. You must apply for a Residence Permit within these 30 days so as to stay in China legally at Baoding Police Station.

Due to the short time limit of your visa, you are not encouraged to come to China ahead of the suggested time. Furthermore, you are not eligible to apply for a Residence Permit until you are a registered student of Hebei University.

Materials for applying Residence Permit:

1.Passport (original)

2.Form JW201/202 (original)

3.Two two-inch photos (white background)

4.Physical examination report conducted in China

5.Tuition and accommodation fee receipt (for self-supported student)

6.Visa application fee (400 RMB/half a year, 800 RMB/year, 1000 RMB/1-3 years)
